* * *    Buffalo Bill    * * *

William Frederick Cody

(1846 - 1917)

"Buffalo Bill" traveled the world with his Wild West Show, the consummate entertainer of his day.  He stopped in San Francisco between Sept 7 and Sept 14, 1902.  While I cannot guarantee that the below photos are from that visit, I suspect it is likely...

This amazing photo sold at auction on ebay on 12-3-2004, buyer unknown.  I don't normally post images without permission, but don't have a way to contact the owner.  I hope to eventually locate the owner, possibly even obtaining a higher resolution scan.  Alternatively, if the owner does not want the image posted, I'll remove it.  The size was 8"x10".

Here's another image showing Buffalo Bill and his crew, a very dramatic panorama
